Musona’s representative at ProSport International, Paschalis Tountouris, took to Twitter to announce the news, adding that the speedy marksman will remain at Hoffenheim at least until the next Transfer Window opens.

“Knowledge Musona will remain at Hoffenheim at least until December,” tweeted Tountouris on Monday evening.

The 24-year-old forward was thought to be heading back to South Africa to rejoin AmaKhosi on a season-long loan, but the move failed to materialise despite the two teams – Chiefs and Hoffenheim – agreeing terms.

Goal understands that Chiefs wanted to buy Musona at the end of his proposed loan move in 2015, but the player wasn’t too keen to make his stay permanent in the PSL.

Now, Musona will at least spend the next three to four months of his career in Germany, with chances of him playing regular football in doubt after missing the club’s pre-season training as he was still recovering from a long term ankle injury.

Musona’s representatives have been in talks with several European clubs, including FC Twente in recent weeks, but nothing concrete came out of those discussions for unknown reasons. Goal.com
