Musona attracts Dutch, Austrian interest

Word reaching the Siya crew is that teams in both Austria and Holland have expressed an interest in Knowledge Musona after his loan to Kaizer Chiefs fell through.

After weeks of speculation linking the Zimbabwean with a return to Naturena, it was confirmed last week that he would not be spending this season in South Africa, with the player eager to pursue a long-term career in Europe.

The 24-year-old striker recently began training with Hoffenheim’s reserves as he looks to get back to full fitness, though the German club are keen to offload him before the current transfer window slams shut.

While the PSL transfer window will close at 17h00 on Friday afternoon, most European clubs have until midnight on Sunday night to finalise any pending deals, something that both the Austrian and Dutch teams interested in Musona will be keen to do.

The Siya crew will continue to keep an eye on Musona’s situation, though if his future isn’t settled by Monday, then he will have to spend the next five months with Hoffenheim and fight for his place there. Soccer Laduma
