Accidents around Zimbabwe: #NehandaCitizenReports

Driving on Zimbabwe’s roads can be a very dangerous endeavour as the following pictures show. This is a collection of accidents from the end of June sent in by one of our Citizen Reporters who travels the length and breadth of the country. 

In the gallery is a BMW that collided head-on with a 3-tonne truck 20 meters before the Muzvezve Bridge. The driver and four passengers escaped death without any serious injuries but the truck driver was badly injured. The accident happened on the weekend of the 28-29th of June, 2014.

On Friday the 27th of June the driver of this white truck fell asleep and the truck plunged into the side bushes. He escaped with minor injuries. The accident happened 4 km from the Empress turnoff on your way to Kwekwe. The truck was towed by away by Green Flag Recovery.

In the third accident along the Kadoma Patchway road, the driver was said to be still at large after he killed two people on the spot. Those killed were walking on the road pushing a homemade trolley. One person was dragged under the car for more than 100 meters.
