Zimbabwean cyclist killed on SA highway

SOUTH AFRICA – A Zimbabwean cyclist died on the N12 after being hit by a Toyota Quantam at about 17:00 on Monday July 9.

According to SAPS spokesperson, Captain Mvula Chaka, the accident took place on the Klerksdorp road.

The deceased cyclist Mr Godfrey Chimongo was trying to switch lanes when he was hit by the Toyota.

The Zimbabwean national died on the scene of the accident.

A case of culpable homicide has been opened by the police, and it is currently under investigation. Potchefstroomherald.co.za
