Magaya bringing TB Joshua to Zimbabwe
Prominent Nigerian prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua (TB Joshua) could be heading to Zimbabwe for the first time if he accepts an invitation from the leader of the fast rising Prophetic Healing Deliverance Ministries (PHD) Walter Magaya.
A spokesperson for Magaya’s church, Oscar Pambuka, is quoted by the local Daily News newspaper saying, “as you know TB Joshua is Magaya’s spiritual father. So he invited him to visit Zimbabwe sometime in May.”
Pambuka confirmed that Prophet Magaya left for Nigeria on Sunday evening and is there to try and to convince TB Joshua to come to Zimbabwe. The two will meet on Thursday and it is then that the invitation will be discussed.
“We expect Prophet TB Joshua to give him an answer by then but we are confident that he will accept since he is the spiritual father. Prophet Magaya will be back in the country on Friday and it is then that we will have a definite answer about TB Joshua coming here.”
Explaining Magaya’s trip to Nigeria, Pambuka is quoted saying “He usually goes to get briefings from TB Joshua. Prophet Magaya will also use the trip to consult on the ministry. Magaya’s wife (Mother Tendai) will be in Nigeria for the next two months where she will be taught to become a prophetess,” Pambuka said.
Two years ago a planned visit by TB Joshua to visit Zimbabwe was frustrated after the Zanu PF regime engineered an onslaught against him in the state media. The Nigerian prophet infuriated the regime after a series of prophecies appeared to imply that President Robert Mugabe was going to die before the end of 2012.
As it turned out it was Malawi president Bingu Wa Mutharika who passed away.
Even senior police chiefs joined the media onslaught describing the popular Nigerian preacher as a false prophet. Senior police officers were even shown a video that allegedly exposes TB Joshua as a womaniser and sorcerer.
TB Joshua’s church, The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), has in the past dismissed the video that has circulated on the internet for a while as fake.
