The Zimbabwe international has also been the stand-in captain for countryman Tapuwa Kapini, who is struggling with injury. He could not hide his delight with the recognition, which included R2,000 in prize money and a hotel voucher.

“It’s a great feeling to be honoured in this way at this stage of the season,” Nyadombo told the club’s website.

“I think the technical staff and my team-mates have seen something and the hard work that I’ve been putting in lately.

“They’ve congratulated me in this form which to me is a morale booster,” he added.

The KwaZulu-Natal side collected seven out of a possible 12 points in March. They began April positively as well, with a 2-1 victory over Free State Stars, which moved them up to fourth place in the standings with 38 points from 26 matches. Football411.com
