Zimbabwean comedian takes US by storm

Not many from his native country might have heard of him but Zimbabwean stand up comedian Alfred Kainga a.k.a Alfred the Alleycat is creating quite a buzz in the United States where he has been resident since 2000. 

Speaking to Nehanda Radio, the 33 year old Alfred said he has been doing stand up comedy since 2006 in the very competitive Dallas Comedy Scene. He has so far worked with some great names in comedy like Mark Curry from Hanging with Mr. Cooper and Rudy Rush longtime host of Showtime at the Apollo.

Judging from the two clips we have posted Alfred is making some big moves on the comedy scene as some have already dubbed him the next African King of Comedy. We hope he can follow in the footsteps of South Africa’s Trevor Noah.
