Corrupt riot police officer arrested (pictures)

A Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) riot squad officer in full gear was arrested by members of the public on Friday at the corner of Chinhoyi and Jason Moyo Avenues in Harare after he was caught allegedly demanding a bribe from a commuter omnibus driver. 

According to a Nehanda Radio Citizen Reporter the policeman demanded a bribe from the kombi at Copacabana around 9am. In the pictures sent to us the man dressed in yellow and holding the officer is from the anti-corruption agency.

The police officer had initially evaded arrest before members of the public pounced on him with the crowd shouting and denouncing him saying “bvisa hat bvisa hat.” The Toyota Noah in the pictures later took him away.
