Pilot dies in Gwanda helicopter crash

A pilot was killed at around 7am today when his Robson R44 helicopter crashed at the mountainous Mapane area, 6km outside Gwanda town.

The man who cannot be named because his next of kin have not been informed died on the spot. It is believed the man who was flying alone jumped out of  the helicopter after it developed a mechanical fault and  his disembodied body was found 30 meters away from the crash site. Southern Eye
