South African premiership side Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly close to finalising a deal with Kudakwashe Mahachi, as the Chloorkop outfit continue to build a strong team for the future.
The Zimbabwean has been on the radar of Sundowns for some time, having caught the attention of the side with his impressive performances for Chicken Inn FC back home.
According to reports, the 20-year-old impressed Sundowns with his performance when he turned out for Zimbabwe in a friendly game earlier this week, as part of the side’s preparations for the upcoming African Nations Championship.
It is believed that the plan is for Sundowns to loan the midfielder to Zimbabwe Premier League champions Dynamos for the remainder of the season, once the deal has been concluded. He is expected to officially start his career at Sundowns in July.
Sundowns are also still keen on Walter Musona, who is the younger brother of Kaizer Chiefs’ prolific striker, Knowledge.
Musona is said to be with Pitso Mosimane’s team on their tour to Zambia. Soccer Laduma.co.za
