Wife accuses hubby of bedding own mother

HARARE – A disgruntled man yesterday told a Harare magistrate that his wife accuses him of having sexual relations with his own mother.
Munyaradzi Pedze hauled his wife, Sinikiwe Magwenzi before the Harare Civil Court seeking a divorce and protection order. He told magistrate Tafadzwa Muvhami that his wife verbally abuses him, calling him a sorcerer.
“My wife scolds me and accuses me of sleeping with my mother. She says I am a sorcerer and I use juju on her,” Pedze said.
“She wishes me death and vowed that I will never be successful in my life. The only reason we are staying together is because of the children. She is too lazy and does not want to work. Recently I bought a stand and told her to go and inspect the construction but she refused.”
Magwenzi furiously refuted her husband’s allegations saying she never said such things.
“He is lying, I went to the stand and built a kitchen but he refused to put the roof and said that we should sleep in his mother’s kitchen,” said Magwenzi.
“Whenever we are at home he will be with his mother, he does not take care of me as his wife. He is too close to his mother and says his mother is his first preference and the rest of us (wife and children) come after.
“He is supposed to treat me as his wife, his number one, and his mother told my father that I am a witch. He has girlfriends and some of them call me on my mobile phone rebuking me.”
Muvhami ordered the couple to live peacefully and ordered Magwenzi to stop verbally abusing her husband. Daily News
