  • Mutengesimukuru

Not true, where is Joel Austin, he lives in a $10.5M mansion.

    • Andy

And where is Dr Paul Yongi Cho – biggest church in the world (nearly 1 million members) with nearly half of his members millionaires? Where is Brian Houston of Hillsong? What abt Kong Hee and Joseph Prince in Singapore? This is a fake list. Who gave them those figures? Seriously people . .

    • not gullible

I tried to post a link from Forbes Magazine, the highest authority in these matters, which lists the five richest Nigerian pastors, and the Nigerian pastors in the list above appear in that list, correct with the figures. Nothing fake about this list I’m afraid.

      • Andy

And Forbes is supposed to have some infallible revelation from above? You don’t think they have an (hell-sponsored) agenda? If you had as much faith in scripture as you have in Forbes, you would be just as prosperous as these men

        • not gullible

I just went back and re read the above article again, nowhere does it state that it’s against these rich pastors. But you attacked the veracity of its contents, imploring people not to believe this article. I then checked the comments section of another article on this website, which is speaking against pastors who preach about wealth only, and guess what, your name is all over there too. And just like what you’re doing here, you’re attacking the writer, in defense of preachers who preach the gospel of wealth. It leads me to conclude that either you stand to benefit from these falsehoods, or you’re a very gullible individual, to the point of being almost, if not already, an idiot. Since I don’t know you I will leave it at that, you belong to one of the two groups.

          • Andy

Idiot? It takes one to recognize one. Where did I say this article is “against these rich pastors”? I said this is a fake list – that’s different from saying the writer is against.
Is there any reason I should not comment on as many articles as I so desire? When did you become the pot dictator over how many articles I am allowed to respond to? You are a fascist – know what that is? Google it.
You don’t tell me what to do and where to comment or how many times. I do what I want. It turns out that the real idiot with egg on his face is you, Mr/Mrs Power-hungry Dictator

          • not gullible

I politely gave you two options, that you either gain from these falsehoods or you’re an idiot. That you chose to rail against the latter probably suggests which you are of these two. And your ramblings about what I’m trying to tell you what to do (which I clearly didn’t, I only drew a conclusion from what I saw – far from dictating to anyone) and accusing me of being a dictator shows the lack of substance in what you’re saying, and anyone resorting to name calling is a sign they’ve lost the argument. I can also draw another conclusion from your struggle with grammar; referring to me as bro, then in the third person, before finally saying “on his face is you, Mr/Mrs…” What I make of that I’ll keep to myself. Egg on my face? Do you even know what that means or where to use that phrase appropriately?

          • Andy

“. . . and guess what, your name is all over there too” (your words) is a not too subtle attempt to be a tinpot dictator. Resorting to name-calling? you used the word idiot, so that must be a sign you’ve lost the argument.
My mixing bro & Mrs in addressing you is not a struggle with grammar. Its a symbolic pointer to how conflicted you’re. Lastly, egg on your face means you are looking and sounding like a big idiot.

          • pope

i really appreciate the way u handle the guy above. words may be as soft as they seem but pricking to the heart n that is how one should get to his opponent
            in an argument

          • Window

Poor Andy is lost & confused. someone please help this poor fellow. You find it hard to accept the truth, even when the facts are right under your nose. I am quite sure that Forbes have done a more thorough research on these pastors then your quick google search. Your argument is baseless (i.e no facts or proof to
back it up just your puffed up opinion & ego).

People like you continue to defend theses so called ”anointed” rich men simply because you refuse to listen to the truth which is so clearly written and evident. You will die in your ignorance. What a shame!!!!

          • lessy

One thing i noticed is you guys like Prophet Angel very much. Even were he is not mentioned you will find a way to mention his name, vakuitirai chii chaizvo? vakatora mari yenyu here, rumwe ruvengo runoda guidance. He is not in the story. why can’t you talk about those mentioned in the article. ITS A HABIT OF SMALL PEOPLE TO TALK ABOUT BIG PEOPLE, HATERS.

          • Andy

@Window, look outside the window(?) of your little grass hut. Your faith in Forbes comes as no surprise. After all it is produced in the West so it must be gospel. You really are not raising any issues of substance so I will leave you alone in peace to eat your munya and derere in your little grass hut. But remember to look outside the “window” and get a little bit of sunshine

          • Window

You are very ignorant young lad to think that living in a grass hut & eating derere is an insult. These so called men of God have convinced you to believe that you are rich beyond measure you sow your hard earned cash into their ministries, you sit on hard benches while they sit on nice sofas. You kneel at their feet & worship them singing their praises after they puff you up with an empty ”gospel”. Meanwhile your family members go hungry while you feed the millionaires with your love offerings. You call them ‘papa’ denying honour to your true Father in heaven and your natural father God gave you.

Now you are shocked that after you invested all your cash your ”papa” still doesn’t rank in the top ten. Keep investing young chap maybe next year you will see him there, but one thing is for sure, you will never see your name there. LOL!!!!!!!!!!

If you will excuse me now, I must go and harvest my derere.

          • Vhuramuromo

So what if Andy’s name is all over the internet? Why are you trying to control free speech? You must be ZanuPF. You can control your wives and concubines (pfambi dzako) at your home but ngazviperere ikoko. This is not your home

          • not gullible

Posting under different names again I see. Just where did I suggest anyone isn’t free to say what they want to say? Mr editor, would you be kind enough to confirm my suspicions, that this post and the one from that other individual referring to me as a dictator did not come from the same IP address.

          • not gullible

If you could read and understand what it is you’d find I only drew a conclusion from the behaviour I’m seeing from angel (sorry, andy), and how that could even be viewed as an attempt to throttle freedom of speech is beyond me. Your resorting to being verbally abusive says a lot about you, not me. Could you be Andy posting under different name? Certainly a possibility, given the wild baseless accusations and use of abusive language. The site moderators can do us all a favor and confirm my suspicions that both your posts are most likely coming from the same address.

          • Vhuramuromo

There you go trying to tell everyone, including the moderator, what to do. They are not on your payroll. Because I happen to agree with Andy, now you want them to do a witchhunt. Im sure they have better things to do than be at your beck and call. Now just shut it and buzz off

        • idi romene

Andy prosperity has nothing to do with your faith. that is why Jesus never owned any recognisable asset. And he never promised us smooth lives but peace in the midst of uncountable tribulations. If u consider Luke 10, our never gave any idea of preaching making people rich. Consider verse 4 and u will notice that he forbade them to carry any money and He caused them to live as destitutes. The creator doesnt want us to suffer or not to have money, he just wants us to be able to distinguish btwn true and false men of god ( so to speak)

  • not gullible

Handiti mazviona, he-e my papa, he-e my mam. Imbavha idzi. Vanoiwanepi mari iyoyi vanhu vasingashande, or any commercial enterprises?

    • Andy

they have commercial enterprises. TD jakes for eg makes Hollywood movies. Angel has real estate properties in UK. Most of them have book and CDs running into hundreds of thousands

      • not gullible

I knew it, you were coming from angel’s point of view. What came first, their enterprises or the wealth? Angel confessed he was broke in the UK, only in 2011. In the business world you don’t just wake up being worth 60m unless you win the lottery, or are involved in some money laundering scam or like. Anyway, your defense of these guys, to the point of questioning Forbes, shows you’re probably sinking your hard earned dollars into these guys bank accounts in the hope you’ll be a millionaire too one day. As for me, I don’t give a damn whether the figures quoted are real or fake, coz not even one penny of that is mine. Saka hazvindirwadzi

        • Andy

I also mentioned Jakes, but I see that its the mention of Angel that gets your knickers tied up in a knot. Why man why? So according to you if a man was once broke he can never be rich? Donald Trump declared bankruptcy more than twice but he’s a millionaire as we speak. How abt that my friend? Do you honestly think Forbes has no demonic agenda? You have to be naïve. Yes I do give to churches (not Angel’s) and I am loaded right now. FYI I am living large bro!

          • not gullible

What you say exposes what little you know about business, and doubt very much you’re loaded as you claim (unless of course you happen to be one of these false preachers). I only commented on angel after YOU brought up his name while it’s not mentioned in the article above. So for you to then say I got into a twist over that is baffling. I can’t comment about these other guys because I don’t know where they were two years or so ago. But angel I know where he was, he said so himself. So for a person to make such a huge financial leap is suspicious. Your comparison of angel with Trump is laughable, if not deluded. Trump inherited his wealth from his parents, who were established in real estate. And the bankruptcy was not because he was down to zero, no sir. It was only tactical financial maneuvering by an unscrupulous and morally corrupt business man to reduce his debts. His businesses have filed for bankruptcies several times, but only in the capacity of his bunisseses, and not in his personal capacity. Anyway, you go and research about Trump, I’m not here to give you a lecture. Meanwhile, enjoy your wealth, just hope it’s not illgotten. As for me, when I go to bed at night I sleep well in the knowledge I didn’t steal anyone’s money, nor do I worry about staying up all night trying to counter people who comment against false preachers. It doesn’t concern me.

          • Andy

Oh, I see – I can only be loaded if I am a preacher? How dumb is that? Everyone who is wealthy that you know is a preacher? Angel was once broke but he came back. What is so incredible about that? That happens all the time. Your pretense to have inside knowledge about Trump is also fake. This guy was one time broke. Period. But he came back.
If you weren’t so concerned about countering my posts, you would be snoring in bed right now wouldn’t you? But no you are up trying to think of fresh ways to counter my posts. Get a life

          • not gullible

Angel was once broke and came back? Really? Do you know the meaning of making a comeback? He was and always had been broke, before he ‘struck gold’ two years ago. Oh my goodness, now you accuse me of pretending to have inside knowledge about Trump. Again where did I say that? Stating the Obvious(well, maybe not,as I can see you didn’t know it), rather stating what’s is public knowledge doesn’t constitute a claim to knowing someone or having any inside information on them. I find your attempt to draw parallels between Trump and Eubert Mudzanire mildly disturbing, it’s not even funny or deluded as I initially felt. The only similarity, if any, is the lack of moral fibre in both. Is it possible you’re mudzanire himself? With your staunch defense of him, your gloating to a faceless stranger on the Internet about your perceived wealth(real or fake), your usage of British phrases like ‘get twisted in one’s knickers’, your attempts to.liken him with Trump, leads me to think that is a possibility. Finally, I think it’s a bit rich of you to accuse me of staying up all night posting comments about your likes, when your posts came later than mine, and also when it is you that has comments all over this site, responding to everyone(while I’ve only been responding to you) who dares suggest that these are fake prophets. That, to any sane human being, looks like you’re doing exactly what you are trying to accuse me of doing. Now if ever there was a more appropriate opportunity to use the phrase it takes one to know one, this would be it.

          • Andy

Very clever investigations. I especially like the conclusion that because I said “your knickers are all tied up in a knot” then I must be British. But not only British, I must also be Angel himself (don’t you wish you could be debating Angel?). And then I could possibly be also Vhuramuromo . . . or anyone whose comments disagree with you. Now you see why I call you a tinpot dictator? Everyone must agree with you or else hokoyo! With your highly suspicious mind and its elaborate conspiracy theories, I feel sorry for your spouse if you have any. So if I call you scumbag, will you also now identify me as American? No, I wont do that. I will stick with the British view that your knickers are twisted!

          • not gullible

Now if you don’t mind, please excuse my lack of responses hereafter, as I have a job to do to feed my family. Yangu ndeyekuzvishandira(which is where the I sleep well comment came from, which point you missed), haisi yekubata vanhu kumeso pretending to produce fake miracles and stealing from vulnerable members of the society. As such, I don’t spend my day here trying to convert people to come to hear falsehoods in the (one in 200 million) hope they’ll become a millionaire one day. So don’t take my lack of responses as conceding to whatever else you will spout after this.

          • Andy

good riddance (I think that’s also British . . . or is it Irish?)

          • Dog Star

Trump was never broke. He still had his gazzillions and he just declared bankruptcy or Chapter 13, which a tactic by these cash guys to either fix some money issues/matters or restructure their businesses. Also no debt collectors can claim money from them if they do so whilst under that notice.

But if Chiyangwa claims bankruptcy, we can assured he is dead broke!!!

          • Andy

Trump’s personal net worth 11 years ago was a negative $900 million. How is that not being broke? He had $960 million of personally guaranteed debt. He came back and got out of the hole. But to say he was never broke is simply not true

          • James Seabolt

One thing that was not mentioned in most if not all of these remarks, is that many of the aforementioned gentlemen, never take a salary. Many of them, live well on monies from the countless books they write, and sell. Funny, how that seems to get overlooked……

      • heya_nhai

Of course they have enterprises who would fail at business if they could have access to an endless deluge of free money ….The books and cd are sold tax free as churches are not taxed.

        • Andy

the fact that not every pastor in the world is doing as well as these few mentioned should answer your question “who would fail at business . . . ” Many other pastors who would like to be financially independent are in fact failing to be

          • heya_nhai

Obviously not all pastors can succeed. The world has a finite number of sheep and the most theatrical pastor gets a bigger flock to fleece.

  • Farai ‘Dabu’ Marimbi

Where is Angel with $60 million

    • Andy

where are you with your $60?

      • not gullible

I don’t know Farai but surely he will have had $60(dollars) on him at one point or another? Asi iwe hausati wamboibata?

  • Chimbwido

If these pastors are serious about living a Christ-like life and preaching the true message of Christ, they wouldnt be stocking up such large sums of money all to themselves. Christ had no bank account and had no roof to lay His head under, but these pastors are living in million dollar mansions while millions of people in the US and abroad are starving. They should give their wealth to the poor, just as Christ instructed the rich tax collector Zaccheus. Christ said it would be easy for a camel to walk through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Amassing such ridiculous amounts of wealth is ungodly and it is devilish. Christ instructed His followers not to lay their treasure where moth and rust will consume it but lay it in heaven, He was speaking against such kind of people. I believe a pastor should have just what he needs to sustain him/her and his/her family not more than that. At the end of the age when Christ comes judge the world He will say to these people, ‘depart from me, for I do not know you.’ And they will say, ‘but master, did we not cast out devils in your name, did we not preach in your name?’. But Christ will say to them, you saw me hungry but you did not feed me, you saw me naked but you did not cloth me, you saw me in prison, but did not visit me.

    • Tha Truth

I think your opinion on this is very wrong, if you properly read the scriptures it shows that God promised wealth and prosperity to those who followed his commands, almost all the greatest biblical figures were wealthy. I come from a background of preachers in my family so you would want them to not have savings and always rely on handouts from people? The bible says a good man lives an inheritance for his children’s children. If you dont amass wealth then how are you going to do that. Solomon was very rich yet he found favour is God’s eyes and even God himself says wealth comes from me and if you follow my commands you will live in houses you did not build, foreigners will work for you and you will eat a double portion on the land. My grandfather fed a lot of people at the expenses of his family so that what you want pastors to do not to live comfortably, they are people too and you cant finish the world’s poverty. You might want to hold the government accountable for not doing so since they take our taxes and not use it properly on social services.

      • Chimbwido

He who wants to be the greatest amongst you, must be the least.

        • salvation

Ask God for the spirit of revelation when you read the bible otherwise you will be misled or you will mislead others

          • Chimbwido

The spirit of revelation did not say you should enrich yourself to such ridiculous levels by stealing from the Lord’s storehouse. No matter how you justify it, this is a pharisee spirit. This is the same thing that the pharisees did and Jesus said in Mathew 5:20 Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

          • salvation

Mate ,do you go to any of these churches or you are commenting from a distance

      • salvation

Even Abraham was a business man whom God supported and prospered so much. You are so right

        • Chimbwido

God blesses the toil of your own brow, not taking the money from the Lord’s house. Abraham did not get wealthy by defrauding clueless congregants of their tithes and offerings. Abraham was wealthy because of the sweat of of his own brow. Kwete zvenyu izvi zvekubira vanhu mari masikati machena. Ndimi munotukisa chinamato imi.

Even the Abraham you are referring to paid tithes to Melchazadeck, he did not get wealth from running a ministry or helping himself from the church tithes and offering. That money belongs to God not to individual pastors. It should be used to help the poor. Provide healthcare for the poor people in our society and pay for the education of the poor members of our society who cannot afford an education. It should be used for uplifting others not self-enrichment.

          • Tha Truth

I may not be a bible scholar but what i know is tithes go to the church and the pastor read your bible properly, because the Levites were doing the work of God they were paid through the money from the tithe and also offerings from the people who came to sacrifice. In most cases its not tithes that pastors get money from its individual people blessing them.

    • Vhuramuromo

Vana Chimbwido kani, munorizivirepi Bhaibheri? Kungo hukura hukura, sadza mapedza kubika?

        • salvation

You only have had one side of their operations just research on how much these guys are doing for the poor and you will revise your comment. Lets start by you selling your cellphone, ipad etc that you are using and give the proceeds to the poor. The same bible says Jesus was poor for us to be rich. I dont support poor pastors because it was never in God’s plans for them to be poor.

          • Window

The so called charitable deeds that these men do are done so using your money, and they get the glory for it. Why don’t they sell what they have and give to the poor?

Secondly the richness of God is not necessarily money. With all the warnings in the bible about the dangers of worldly riches you people continue stubbornly on the broad road of destruction, interpreting scriptures so as to justify your greed and lust not willing to deny yourself take up your cross and follow Christ.

Try reading your bible in its entirety then perhaps you will be able to see the REAL plan of God for mankind. Its too easy to just pick a few verses that you confess everyday and stick on your fridge at home & making all sorts of claims & declarations. Take those few verses find them in your bible and read the FULL context in which they were written. Ask the spirit of God to enlighten you. Hear from God instead of man for a change.

          • Chimbwido

First of all, I am not using a cellphone or ipad to type this. Its lunch break and I am using a company computer. Some of us have to work to earn a living we dont steal from church funds for the purpose of self-enrichment. Its not like I have a million dollars stored away in my account while there is a hungry mouth to feed. My point is that these pastors should just keep what they need to make a living not these ridiculous ungodly kind of money kept for selfish gains. These pastors shall reap what they sow! Do they even know how difficult those congregants toiled in order to part with that tithe and offering? Only to have these selfish pastors splurge it all for the benefit of their selfish needs. Even Christ himself instructed Zaccheus to go sale all his possessions and give the proceeds to the poor. I repeat, it will be easier for a camel to walk through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Selfishness is ungodly, it is of the devil not matter how you justify it. I am not against the prosperity gospel, but you should know that you are blessed to be a blessing to others not to keep the blessings to yourself. You are just a channel through which God uses to reach the poor. Not to store up such crazy amounts of money for your own selfish gains.

          • Tha Truth

NO riches in the world can compare to sacrifices “SOME” of the Pastors make, in my grandfathers house my mum, aunts and uncles would go with no food sometimes so that they could feed visitors who had come to be prayed for. I wouldnt wish any of that on any family, before you are so quick to judge you have to know the lives of these people and my grandfather was accussed of stealing money from the church but he never took a cent from the church he wasnt even paid by the church, if it wasnt a few church members and family who helped him financially he would have been poor thats what you want so that they beg for money always. Do you understand that the bible says Pastors are overseers of our soul so that means its not just physical they also have to deal with spiritual attacks on your behalf

    • James Washington

but pastors like td jakes and creflo dollar do all of these things. he feeds the hungry, he clothes naked, he gives to the poor.

    • Lance Robinson

No, Dog Star… the others you mention are more honorable (if that is possible) than these… at least those others are true to what they say they are and don’t feed off of the poor and widowed.

God said, “My thoughts are not your thoughts.” Whilst we see money as richies, God sees Kingdom investment as true wealth; ie, (soul winning, charity deeds, honesty, resisting earthly temptations & above all LOVE for God & for your neighbour).

The devil is a liar. I do not know these pastors but the article can show us some proofs and facts. Instead of talking about it, how about interviewing them for seeking the truth.

Matt 19,24 – “I’ll say it again – it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”

Lets do the right thing, by giving honour to whom honour is due. This is list necessary .

  • Foogan

I guess that means Christians in must be poor? Really? How about a list of the worlds despots who murder people. How about their worth?

  • Lance Robinson

These men must be so much better than Paul, who learned to be content with nothing, who taught contentment with simple food and clothing, to work for your own support (to not be a free loader) OH, and Paul, having his best life of health, wealth & prosperity NOW (can I get an amen? WHEW!), was often beaten, rejected and homeless… counting it all joy. Compared to most of the world, even I, a working class person in the US, live an extremely privileged life, having running water, a car, internet, air conditioning, abundant food supply, etc. and I am told that I need to get rich ‘for the Kingdom’, when Paul and the rest of the Apostles didn’t even have a small percentage of what I now have? Paul could have VERY WELL convinced the church to do the same things, and become very, very rich doing it, but… he DIDN’T. These people are charlatans, defacing the Name of God under the guise of carrying it, giving people false hope for things that are NOT promised by God and setting these people up for resentment towards REAL Christianity later, when these false claims do not happen. People, READ THE WORD FOR WHAT IT IS, NOT FOR WHAT SOME WOULD LIKE TO PROJECT INTO IT. God is real, His Word is sufficient, alive and powerful, and should be approached with a desire to know Him, not to pick out or project things that WE would like to see in it. It is NOT ABOUT US, it’s all about HIM. These men are liars.

It is written, Jesus said it is easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than a rich man getting into the kingdom of Heaven, where brass can not tarnish and gold cannot be stolen, God’s house has many mansions and what’s on this earth will be no more but Life is everlasting with Jesus, because No one comes to God without Jesus. Rich man, Poor man, Beggarman thief all who continue to live life like there isn’t a God and Repent & Follow Jesus the only Life is Death In The Lake Of FIRE. God knows the heart of everyone because he created everyone, he knows all the hearts of MEN and will be coming quickly so get your houses in order before It’s too LATE! Amen

The truth shall be known… they shall be know by their fruit. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many (Matt. 24:5); For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Matt. 24:24). Praise GOD the prophecy is made manifest through the above preacher-wolves. Watch out, they are everywhere and now growing in number everyday. But there is hope in Matthew 7: 21-23 “Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father who is in heaven (Matt.7:21)”, “Many shall say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied through *thy* name, and through *thy* name cast out demons, and through *thy* name done many works of power? (Matt. 7:22)”, “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matt.7:23).
