Peter Ndlovu’s car involved in accident

BULAWAYO – A Nissan Navara twincab belonging to footballer Peter Ndlovu was involved in a road accident this past Friday in the afternoon along Takawira, Joburg Road near Tower Block in Bulawayo. It’s the third accident within 12 months involving a car owned by a member of the Ndlovu family.

According to veteran broadcaster Ezra ‘Tshisa’ Sibanda the accident injured the driver believed to be Ndlovu’s niece and three members of the public who were sitting on the pavement. The three together with the female driver were rushed to hospital for treatment and it’s believed their injuries are not life threatening.

“Witnesses say the young female driver tried to avoid smashing another car at the back which was in front of her car after it suddenly stopped which forced her car to veer off the road and overturned landing on 3 members of the public. The public had to help lift the car to its upright position to remove the trapped and injured pedestrians,” Sibanda said.

Peter Ndlovu who now manages Sundowns FC is believed to be in South Africa. Only last year his BMW X5 was involved in an accident in Victoria Falls which killed his elder brother and fellow Highlanders legend Adam Ndlovu.

Tragedy nearly struck the Ndlovu family again in March this year when Peter’s elder brother, former Zimbabwe coach and Highlanders legend Madinda Ndlovu survived a car accident after hitting a cow while driving from Botswana.
