Magistrate suspended over adultery

By Tatenda Chipungudzanye

While magistrates are known to be custodians of the law, a Norton magistrate has turned renegade to wreck a marriage.

Not only did Judith Taruvinga wreck the marriage of Forward Mhlanga and Eveline Mhlanga, she also “trespassed into Eveline’s matrimonial bedroom in Iran- a country that is richly known for being conservative in their culture on adultery.

Adultery is a major offence in the Islamic Republic of Iran where Judith had the guts to travel to and ‘eat the forbidden fruit’ with a married man, Forward, who is a Counsellor at the Zimbabwean Embassy in Iran. H-Metro is in possession of Judith and Forward’s pictures in romatic moments.

H-Metro is reliably informed that the two started having an adulterous affair in March this year through social networking site Facebook such that at one point Eveline had to be sent home so that Judith could find her way to Iran to have quality time with Forward.

“Forward sent me back to Zimbabwe so that he could have quality time with his girlfriend. Walls have ears, I got wind of what was happening and I went back to Iran where I found the two in our matrimonial home,” said Eveline.

Eveline said it had to take the senior staff at the embassy to ensure that peace prevailed and Judith found her way to Zimbabwe the next day.

“Imagine, I found Judith cooking in my own house and they were using my bedroom with my husband as their sex haven,” fumed Eveline.

Eveline said ever since she caught the two in her matrimonial home, their romance had continued to an extent that they would send her nude pictures and many other pictures of themselves having quality time.

“They always send me pictures when they are having quality time. I don’t know what that is supposed to mean but it is in bad taste,” said a dejected Eveline. She said she had to call some staffers at the embassy to save herself from Forwards wrath.

“It had to take senior staffers to intervene otherwise I could have been injured by the marauding Forward,” said Eveline. H-Metro is reliably informed that Judith was suspended from her workplace over the marriage wrecking saga.

Yesterday, Judith professed ignorance on the saga although this publication is in possession of romantic pictures featuring Forward and her. “I don’t know what you are talking about,” she said.

When furnished with evidence that this publication was in possession of pictures of her and Forward she said she wanted to see the pictures. “I need to see the pictures,” she said before saying this publication was free to go ahead with the story.

“You can go ahead with what you have; I am also eagerly waiting to read that paper,” she said.

Forward yesterday LIED to this paper that he was in Iran yet there was enough proof that he was here in Zimbabwe. Whether it was him who answered his phone or it was a relative could not be ascertained but what this publication got was that Forward was out of the country.

“Forward is in Iran. I have his phone and I am his relative,” said the person who answered the phone not knowing that H-Metro had got wind that Forward was with the Foreign Affairs Ministry where he was reporting his wife over the publication of the story.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Joey Bimha, said he had not received a report about the shenanigans involving Forward in Iran. “I haven’t received that report. I believe if something happened it is still to reach my ears.

“I am waiting for the report if there is anything to that effect,” he said.

Chief magistrate Mishrod Guvamombe refused to comment but a reliable source told us the Chief magistrate’s office had received two complaints from Eveline’s lawyers Takawadi and Associates against Judith, regarding the conduct of the latter.

The source added that Eveline fought with Judith in Iran when she (Judith) had been caught red handed by the former.

“The chief magistrate office received the first complaint on June 3 and they instituted investigations and Judith was asked to comment, she undertook to terminate the adulterous affair.

“Judith, however, never stopped the adulterous affair as she kept on sending abusive text messages and photos and again Eveline’s lawyers logged another complaint,” revealed the source. The source went on to add that the second complaint was made on September 10.

“Judith is now being charged for three counts of misconduct, unbecoming behaviour likely to drag the name of the judiciary service into disrepute.”

“Judith has since been suspended from work as she awaits a disciplinary hearing. She (Judith) is now being sued for adultery at the high court while Forward is now processing divorce papers to leave Eveline,” added the source. H Metro
