PICTURE: Zengeza 4 voter registration farce

CHITUNGWIZA – All the people in this picture failed to register at Zengeza 4 High School in Chitungwiza. It was exactly 7pm when they were told the registrars were moving to another centre and would no longer be ward based.

After the whole day waiting all these people got was disappointment and frustration. There was no registration to talk about. They gave numbers up to 529 but the person with number 218 never managed to register because of the slow pace.

It seems to be a clear instruction from the top. Meanwhile there are reports that they are doing quite well in rural and resettlement areas. These are areas perceived to be Zanu PF strongholds. This election is being rigged even before it begins!
