Results for Midlands South MDC-T primaries
GWERU – The MDC led by Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai successfully conducted its primary elections and confirmation exercise in Midlands South Province this past Wednesday.
The elections saw Amos Chibaya, the MP for Mkoba getting confirmed while journalist Ezra “Tshisa” Sibanda won the primary election in Vungu constituency. Gweru Urban MP Rodrick Rutsvara failed to get the two thirds majority vote required for confirmation and will have to stand in the primary elections.

Primary elections in Chiwundura and Zvishavane Ngezi were postponed. The exercise continues in Midlands North and will move to the 3 Mashonaland provinces before going to Manicaland and Masvingo.
