Kariba: (16 May) Five rangers were involved in an accident along Chitekete-Chilimba road in a GNP690 cruiser on their way from Shopping. This was due to brake failure. National Parks can’t afford servicing its vehicles. They don’t value the lives of lower ranking officers.
As l speak 2 Rangers are critical in Hospital – harare Hosp after being transfered from Gokwe Government run Hospital. Most National Parks have no running vehicles. We have undated pay Days sometimes we get our Salaries the following month.
We have a backlog of two years nealy 3 years tisingabhadha rwe ma csc that is ma allowances emusango. No uniforms. No salary increment for the past 3 yrs. Very bad houses.We wonder were the monies we collect from Tourist is being channeled to. Kuti ubhadharwe mari idzi woto tanga waita dambudziko kumba pasina izvozvo inotorova.
No more recruitments we r working under tight pressure. 1 person serving 3 vacant positions. Poaching too high tichasara tisina chaatinacho for our future benefits. Please there is need to help a Zimbabwean Ranger asati aitwo a Poacher.

National Parks Junior staff are poorly paid. The bosses well paid. The bosses from Regional Managers ranks are Zanu Pf selects. Now as long as we are having poor renumration nxaa all Rangers are going to try to vote for the Opposition MDC T.
Maybe this may bring a good Defination of a Game Ranger. The Late Parks Director General Cde V. Chadenga was Zanu PF. He collapsed in and left us poor. In his office they found US$200 000.00 and twenty thousand US in his pocket and yet we don’t have exact paydays.
There is high poaching of wildlife but the people who are supposed to report are not motivated at all. We must look after our animals for future generations and our stake holders. We also need houses in towns we are the worst paid in the region. Parks wake up or go back to public service nevertheless we r going to vote for Morgan.”

Now they are forced to go register at centres which are in the neighbouring villages. Temba Mliswa is also providing transport for his supporters to go register yet he was the one who caused chaos in this area!!! Zanu supporters have something to do with this.”

“Can someone tell us why NRZ workers are being taken for a ride by the Zanu PF appointed General Manager Mike Karakadzai. They have not been paid there Aug 2012 to present salaries. The management is on a looting spree and they were blaming sanctions bt now no more sanctions they r blaming low business.
Why are these soldiers destroying the railways, workers are demolarised and they are threatened if they go on strike, soldiers who r getting double salaries from army and NRZ will take over their positions.
They don’t want external auditors to check the books so govt is not willing to address the plight of the workers. People are dying because of not having money, children not going to school, being evicted by landlords.”
