Formerly known as the O.G, Bere who prefers to be called by the title evangelist than prophet says he has already started converting former friends he used to drink and work with during his ‘earthly’ days.

“Yes I have already started converting people especially those I used to drink and play with snooker from my old hood in Dzivaresekwa 4. However they are still many and so I have a lot of work to do,” he said.

When asked why some of his targets were the likes of raunchy dancer Beverly Sibanda and urban grooves singer Ngoni Kambarami he said:

“With that issue regarding Beverly and Ngoni I was only replying to a feedback message that asked me whether I was also going to also convert those I once worked and associated with to which my reply was yes.

“I was then asked to name a few and those are some of the names that came to mind because I once worked with those people during my days as a manager and dee-jaying. The mentioning of them has nothing to it like what people think. I have actually started inviting many artists at our sessions,” he said.

He added ever since the publication of his story many people have been calling him.

“More people are even calling me after that story hit the front page and also about Beverly’s response to that conversion issue,” he said.

When asked whether he is going to have his own church in the near future he said:

“No, that is not my calling, my calling is to evangelise and not to start a ministry.” H Metro
