HARARE – Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa prophesied the death of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher during the cross-over service on New Year’s Eve when he intimated that a prominent international figure would fall in a place of snow.

“I saw tears on the snow and I saw a woman’s garment . . . a very old garment coming down. When I looked at it, it turned into a flag and I saw tears on the snow. We need to pray for other countries,” said Prophet Makandiwa as he announced the prophecy.

Ministering to more than 30 000 worshippers from Zimbabwe, South Africa, the United States of America, Australia and Mozambique among others on New Year’s Eve, Prophet Makandiwa made several local, regional and international prophecies that have been coming to pass in recent months.

One of the prophesies he made was that the West would soon soften its stance on Zimbabwe and true to this, the past few weeks have witnessed friendly overtures from Britain and the United States of America in particular.

Only last week, Britain invited the Zimbabwe re-engagement team comprising of Ministers Patrick Chinamasa (Legal and Parliamentary Affairs), Elton Mangoma (Energy and Power Development) and Ms Priscilla Misihairambwi-Mushonga (Regional Integration) as efforts to re-establish good relations with this country gather pace.

“I know we have not been accepted for the resources that we have but I see a change in attitude with those countries that have been fighting us opening their hands, ready to receive our diamonds,” said Prophet Makandiwa.

Last Sunday Prophet Makandiwa called on his congregation to be alert to prophecies he made because many were being caught unawares and yet he would have already prophesied their situations. He said civil servants, in particular teachers, would have their positions and worth re-instituted soon.

“There is a wiping away of tears on civil servants. People have been saying a lot of things about you . . . undermining you. Teachers are going to regain their positions. You are going to be significant again,” Prophet Makandiwa said. The Herald
