This was after Bosso fans strongly protested a yellow card given to midfielder Knox Mutizwa for allegedly diving in the Shabanie penalty area. The Highlanders fans however felt it should have been a penalty.

Away from the commotion, goals from Graham Ncube and Njabulo Ncube ensured Highlanders go top of the league alongside How Mine who beat Tripple B 2-0 at Bulawayo’s White City stadium on Thursday.

Champions Dynamos could only manage a 1-1 draw against Black Mambas at Morris Depot. Nicholas Alifandika’s 24th minute goal for Mambas was later cancelled by a Tawanda Muparati header 20 minutes from the end.
