Introducing former Zanu PF women’s league commissar Tracy Mutinhiri to over 20 000 MDC supporters at the White City Stadium on Saturday during 13th anniversary party celebrations Chamisa said several Zanu PF Cabinet ministers were secretly behind the MDC.

“We have some Zanu PF Cabinet ministers who are fully behind our party although we cannot name them now. They always tell us during Cabinet meetings that kuZanu PF kubasa asi MDC ndivo yavo,” said Chamisa.

Chamisa added that in the past recent months several Zanu PF ordinary supporters countrywide also defected to his party but have no time to parade them.

When contacted yesterday, Zanu PF spokesperson Rugare Gumbo fumed over Chamisa’s sentiments saying: “That is nonsense, there is nothing like that. What proof does he have?”

Mutinhiri who is also the former deputy minister of Labour and Social Welfare and ex-Marondera East legislator was fired from Zanu PF last year on allegations of aligning herself to MDC.

Chamisa also said the thousands of party supporters who attended the celebrations was clear confirmation that the party still rules Bulawayo amid claims by the Welshman Ncube- led MDC that it had gained ground. Daily News
