Zimbabwe international Nyasha Mushekwi is now on the verge of completing a dream breakthrough into the German Bundesliga following a successful medical at newboys SpVgg Greuther Furth yesterday.
Mushekwi has been at the German side for the past week and now appears set to put pen to paper provided the two teams can agree the transfer fee. Musona took a break from the Warriors after he was accused of match-fixing by Zifa chief executive Jonathan Mashingaidze. Mushekwi, who is also on the sidelines from the Warriors, has also been linked to Belgian club Standard Liege and English Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday.
France-based Zimbabwean agent Ralph Nkomo, who is Mushekwi’s manager, yesterday revealed that the former CAPS United hitman had passed his medical at the Germany club. “He’s here and passed his medical. The club are now in the middle of preparing a proposal to sign him,” Nkomo told Soccer-Laduma.
It is believed Sundowns are holding out for a fee of around R10 million for the forward. Greuther Further is a German club based in Furth, Bavaria, and they have won the German championship on three occasions. The Herald
