Sex scandal rocks Salvation Army in Glen Norah

A local Harare tabloid is reporting that the Salvation Army percussion choir in Glen Norah on Saturday allegedly boycotted a training session led by their secretary who is being accused of cheating with a married church-mate.

Sex scandal rocks Salvation Army in Glen NorahThe H Metro claims that the percussion secretary Irene Kauswa (39) who is currently on separation from her husband is cheating with a married man Tafadzwa Round (28). Tafadzwa is the secretary of the Boys’ Brigade within the church and is said to be married to Constance Maunga (25).

A heated clash between Irene and Constance erupted last week over the alleged adulterous affair. Although Irene confirmed that Tafadzwa slept at her matrimonial home once, she said it was not in her bedroom neither was it with her. Now church members are said to be unhappy that Irene is continuing to lead the choir.

The affair was blown out into the open after Constance discovered love messages on Tafadzwa’s Facebook page after he had forgotten to log out. In the conversations Irene was allegedly showing appreciation for the quality time they enjoyed at her house.

Irene meanwhile said “I am not a ‘guru’ in these Facebook things and that is where it started. Tafadzwa as my friend was drinking until late one day before he suggested sleeping in the dining room saying his wife had gone to Gweru. I am actually on separation with my husband but we see each other when he drops off our kid from school.”

“Tafadzwa told me that he is not in good books with Constance and we were sharing our problems. I asked him to share a bed with my child in the spare bedroom. After all he is younger than me you know?” she said.

“It is true that Tafadzwa had some sexual advances on me but I denied opting to remain ‘friends’,” she admitted. “I have been befriending boys since my school days.” “I believe so because women gossip too much and even here I do not give a lift to women in my car but prefer men who are not gossips.”

“Because of that they influence people against me. After all if my car suffers a breakdown they can not push my car or offer any meaningful assistance. It is true that church members are saying a lot about me and Tafadzwa and some people are influencing percussion members to boycott. We were supposed to start early but as you can see only those two have come.”

“Tafadzwa is my friend and I have been helping him financially because he is a cellphone dealer at Gulf complex and I am a professional person. Church leaders have not asked me anything over the issue and I think I will approach our Major about it,” said Irene.

Constance was surprised how the issue reached the H Metro paper before she opened up confirming that Tafadzwa has not been attending church after the issue. “Who told you about that? After all talking to you does not save my marriage,” said a bitter Constance.

“It is true that we are at loggerheads with Irene over my husband after I discovered some messages confirming their affair on Facebook. He had not signed out.” “Irene used to advise me to leave Tafadzwa saying he was saying bad things about me and she used to call me ‘mainini’ unaware of her dirty moves with Tafadzwa.”

“A heated debate arose after I asked her if she had used protection with Tafadzwa before she threatened me with legal action.” However, Tafadzwa is alleged to have finally owned up to shagging the percussion-jangling cougar after being pressed. “Tafadzwa confessed that he had sexual intercourse with Irene after a big fight at home and I hit him with a pot.”

“What disturbed me is the church leadership’s action over it because every one is talking about it. Those people who told you are not even taking action to help my marriage,” said a torn Constance. Tafadzwa denied dating Irene and ever spending a night at her house although Irene confirmed it. “People are spreading falsehoods about that issue,” said Tafadzwa.

“I am not in love with that woman. She is too old for me. How can that be?” “The only day I visited her I was accompanied by my wife because Irene wanted her hair done and my wife is a hair dresser.” “I was not attending church services because I was doing something in Borrowdale and tomorrow I will be going to watch football.”

“It is not correct that I am doing this (not attending church) out of shame,” said Tafadzwa. Contacted for comment Major Chitsiko refused to shed light over the issue. “I do not want to talk to you,” said Chitsiko. As things stand there will not be the jingling of bells at the church until the tale of the OLD cougar and the young cellphone dealer alleged to be shag dancing is solved and solved for good!
