The pulling power of the MDC-T and its charismatic leader Morgan Tsvangirai was there for all to see as 15 000 people jam packed the Mkoba Stadium in Gweru for a ‘Real Change Peace Rally’ on Sunday. As our exclusive pictures show, despite attempts by the state broadcaster and print media to rubbish the party, support on the ground remains incredible.

On a sad note, the MDC-T Secretary for Economic Affairs, Industry and Commerce, Dr. Mfandaidza Hove, collapsed and died during the rally. He will be buried on Saturday at Matoro Village in Mberengwa.  The 65 year old Dr. Hove was a senior accounting lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe.
