The website says 50 Cent has been interested in signing Gamu for quite some time but X Factor contracts signed by all contestants prevented the Zimbabwean from penning any deals or promoting any work of art during the running of the show in the UK.

Unconfirmed reports say rapper and music mogul 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) has signed or wants to sign Zimbabwean singer Gamu Nhengu (Gamuchirai Nhengu) who was controversially axed from the British X Factor singing contest last year.

The http://www.realtalklippy.com/ is reporting that Gamu or ‘Miss Gamuchirai as she will now be known, has been signed to 50 Cents new record label G-note! G-Note will focus on 50’s favourite acts that don’t fit neatly into G-units hip-hop categorisation and will favour pop and R&B artists.’

The website says 50 Cent has been interested in signing Gamu for quite some time but X Factor contracts signed by all contestants prevented the Zimbabwean from penning any deals or promoting any work of art during the running of the show in the UK.

‘It is believed that many labels have been interested in signing Gamu, but G-note have offered the best deal and are best connected to make her dreams a reality,’ the website said. If the news is proved true, all we can say is ‘Go Gamu, it’s your birthday, we got to party like it’s your birthday.’

Gamu shot to prominence last year after being axed from the X Factor despite being by far the best singer on the show. Issues around her family visa which had expired are said to have influenced malaria stricken Judge Cheryl Cole to choose other contestants over Gamu.

A national outcry saw a facebook page set up to get her back on her show reach over 260 000 people.
