Henry ‘Bully’ McKop: Who is Who in Zimbabwe

Henry ‘Bully’ McKop (born 08/07/1967) is a former Zimbabwe national team central defender and a product of the Zimbabwe Saints Football Club youth development system.

He played for Zimbabwe Saints FC from 1988 up to 1992 before joining Bonner SC of Germany. Within a year he was snapped up by Bristol City in the English Division One League now known as the Championship.

In the 1995/96 season he joined Shelbourne Dublin in League 2 of Ireland before moving on to Vorwarts Steyr in the Austrian Bundesliga. In the 1997-98 season he joined Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa playing  until 1999.

McKop went on to join Spartak Pretoria (1999), Wits University (2000/2001) and Amazulu Durban (2001/2002) all in South Africa. He was also a regular in the Zimbabwe national team from 1988 right up to 1998.

As a young boy McKop went to Founders High School in Bulawayo. Now retired he currently lives in Cape Town South Africa.
