It is celebration week as Zaoga (FIFMI) commemorates its golden jubilee. Several events have been lined up. According to information on www.fifmi.org and other websites, 50 years ago on May 12, 1960, Archbishop Ezekiel Guti while in Bindura, Mashonaland Central Province, responded to God’s special call, which led to the birth of the ministry under a gum tree.
In 1963, as he prayed in the Bindura caves, God spoke to him and said, “Learn and read the English Bible and learn to preach in English because you shall go to many countries with my word.” He did so in the cave everyday with prayer and fasting. The Holy Spirit gave him, “The tongue of the learned”.
“. . . That I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary”. (Isaiah 50:4). Today millions of people across continents have given their lives to Jesus Christ in response to the teachings of Archbishop Ezekiel Guti.
An international presence of now over 70 nations, and one of the most powerful movements in post-biblical Christianity, Forward in Faith Ministries International (FIFMI) is changing millions of lives through Apostle Guti’s vision.
“Rarely does an organisation with such a vast world-reach hold a testimony of simplicity, and a genuine ‘humble beginnings’ story”.
Zaoga (FIFMI) continues to be a powerful Pentecostal ministry, whose agenda is “simply to preach the true and uncompromising gospel of Jesus Christ — a gospel not founded on the doctrines of man, but of Jesus Christ, as fulfilled on the day of Pentecost”. (Acts 1: 8).
The ministry is reaching the world in Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, USA, and the United Kingdom. With over 2 000 churches in Southern Africa alone, Apostle Guti has ministered for over 55 years and spoken in many different countries, colleges and universities.
He has founded seven Bible colleges named Africa MultiNations for Christ Colleges (AMFCC), three in Zimbabwe, two in Mozambique, and one in Zambia and one in Ghana. Archbishop Guti is married to Apostle Eunor who has also inspired the hearts of thousands worldwide with her gift of evangelism.
“She continues to work diligently as an apostle, evangelist, wife, mother, and servant of the Lord”.
FIFMI also hosts the Ezekieltvchannel, which broadcasts on television channels in some African as well some European countries.
