Bhasera wanted by Queens Park Rangers
Sports — By admin on August 3, 2010 6:51 pmPlymouth Argyle and Zimbabwe left-back Onismor Bhasera is a transfer target for English Championship side Queens Park Rangers according to a report in the UK Daily Mirror.
The paper reports that QPR manager Neil Warnock has taken an interest in Bhasera after his team met Argyle in a pre-season friendly last week. The Zimbabwean only joined Argyle as a free agent last March, making seven appearances as the Pilgrims’ were relegated from the Championship.
Warnock is ready to bid £100,000 for the former Kaizer Chiefs defender whose move to England initially stalled after a protracted wrangle with Chiefs who insisted he was still contracted to them. The player however said he was not.
New Argyle manager Peter Reid has used Bhasera as a left-sided midfielder in some pre-season games and will no doubt want more than a miserly £100,000 for the 24-year old. Those who watched Bhasera in action last week say he played so well his value sky-rocketed and QPR will probably have to up their bid.
