You don't say, Wolverhampton! Why would he tell the British he was beaten by Green Bomber but now says he has never had any problems with Mugabe? Pongo not only penned an opinion editorial column stating that there was rule of law in Zimbabwe. As if to prove it, he went to Zimbabwe where he took pictures of himself and his relatives, who I really feel sorry for, wearing ZANU-PF T-shirts. If Pongo was granted asylum on false pretense, he may find himself in legal jeopardy in the UK. In most western countries, perjury is a crime. The question is, did he commit perjury while filing for asylum? I would not say pasi naye. He will hang himself with his own tongue, watch it.

Mugabe and other African leaders were never going to help the black nation of Haiti, Hungwe. Africa itself is a man-made Haiti-type disaster like you aptly point out. It really is a crying shame watching all the other nations chip in to help stricken blacks but Africa offers nothing but embarrassing silence. It need not be like this at all. With the vast resources Africa has, we would have been the first responders on the Haitian ground if we were not cursed with selfish, incompetent and corrupt leaders.

Zobha, did you say Pongo was granted asylum status in the United Kingdom? If you know the justification he used to apply for aylum, make the evidence public. In a private exchange, Pongo told me he has always been a supporter of Mugabe and a member of ZANU-PF. He went as far as telling me that anyone who says he was previously against Mugabe and ZANU-PF is a liar. I asked him to make this denial public.

Sporo, there is nothing personal. It is just that politics is a contact sport and all I am doing is learning from ZANU-PF itself.

I salute you Shanga. Not for only saying what three quarters of all Zimbabweans would probably agree with but for giving them a voice against the subjected lunacy they have had to endure. The time will come when we can once again speak freely within our own country and be held accountable for the actions we have taken.
It seems true that only hypocrisy and small minded people blame others for their short comings. The blame game, normally filled with untruths becomes the only weapon of self centred people with no concern for fellow humans. Nothing constructive is offered as they are incapable of being meaningfully productive. Pongo should open his eyes and notice that the countries in which he cowardly skulks and then to which he spews Zanu PF rhetoric are the very countries offering help to the desperate people of Haiti. Not surprising, we have not heard word from any black governed country. Although Mugabe and other African leaders only offer criticism (not constructive) at international events, and although most of these leaders (including Mugabe) and their corrupt contemporaries are some of the planets wealthiest individuals, they are nowhere to be seen in times of crises. Although not surprising, considering the ease with which they murder innocent victims and destroy national pride by intentionally creating human suffering, why would they help anyone but themselves. This inaction and the likes of Pongo's writing, it is no wonder the world considers us a basket case. It is well overdue that we take full responsibility for our own future and refrain from harping about the past as no one else is accountable for our predicament; it is simply the leadership which is to be held accountable for the nations’ situation.
