National airliner Air Zimbabwe had to temporarily suspend its scheduled flights to the United Kingdom last week after air-traffic was grounded due to bad weather and heavy snow in parts of Europe, America and Asia.
The struggling airline laden with serious debts, runs direct flights between Harare and London twice a week on Wednesday night and Sunday.
An Air Zimbabwe official said, “The flight to London was suspended after we were advised of the bad weather. The plane only left on Thursday.”
“We have been advised that the weather will be bad for a couple of days so the flights will generally depend on what forecast and warning we get from London.”
