Jestina Mukoko to speak in London

Former ZBC television presenter and Zimbabwe Peace Project (ZPP) director Jestina Mukoko will be in London to speak about her experiences at the hands of Mugabe’s brutal regime.

The soft spoken activist was abducted by state security operatives from her home in Norton and held incommunicado for several weeks before the regime brought her to court.

During that time she was subjected to horrendous torture on the back of trumped up charges that she helped recruit opposition bandits to train in neighbouring Botswana.

The case was eventually thrown out by the Supreme Court on the basis that her constitutional rights were violated after she was abducted and tortured.

Mukoko will be a guest at the Zimbabwe NGO Forum in Central London on the 18th of December. She will also be celebrating her City of Weimar Human Rights Award.
