I blame Tsvangirai and MDC for being so naïve; they walked straight into one of Mugabe’s traps. This was one of MDC’s many blunders and, now, the whole nation will pay dearly for it for years!

According to the GPA the only newspaper, radio or TV media allowed to broadcast into Zimbabwe must operate from within Zimbabwe’s boarders. That is total nonsense, in this day and age when the whole world is a global village. What we want is a free and independent press – newspaper or radio owners alone should decide where they are to be based.

"If you want to get rid of radio stations broadcasting into Zimbabwe – free the media." Gerry, it is that simple but not in a country like Zimbabwe.

Mugabe and his cohorts have all the power and they are the law onto themselves. That means they can, and do so all the time, turn a simple matter into a complex one, a mole hill into a mountain. Mugabe will put Tsvangirai and MDC under increasing pressure not to give interviews to anyone in the independent media and thus make it very difficult for S W Radio Africa, VOA, etc to keep up the excellent work you people are doing of informing the Zimbabwe public.
