Her notable contribution to the empowerment of youths through lobbying the government to introduce pro-youth policies as well as her unwavering stance with regards to fight for gender equality and equity saw her getting a nod from the panelists drawn from various sectors among the leaders of the NGO sector.

In her acceptance speech she stated that the award was not hers but for the generality of youths both male and female for their support to the cause in which she believes in.

A custodian of social justice, a mother, a wife and a director of Youth Empowerment and Transformation (YET) Trust, a conglomeration of more than twenty youth organizations.

Through her organization she has managed to groom most of the civic society and youth organization leaders through the annual Winter School. She has also assisted in building the capacity of many youth organizations which are now changing the lives of youths in many communities.

She also sits in a number of advisory bodies and is someone who is well networked so much so that she shares her views with a plethora of leaders from various circles in our country.

We urge her to further pull up her socks for we just like many other youths look to her not only as a role model but a mentor and advisor.
