Mahlangu and Makone urge MDC pull out
News — By admin on September 14, 2009 5:01 pmDeputy Youth Minister and MDC Secretary for Youth Thamsanqa Mahlangu and Public Works Minister and MDC Women’s Assembly Chairperson Theresa Makone have all called on the MDC to pull out of the inclusive Government.
According to the state owned Chronicle newspaper the two made the remarks at the MDC 10th anniversary celebrations at the White City stadium on Sunday. Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai used the same rally to launch a blistering attack on Zanu PF for continued violations of the unity deal.
Tsvangirai said “I’m not threatening anyone, but a time will come when we say enough is enough. If as a wife you are being abused and beaten by your husband don’t say, I will remain in the marriage because I have children. Get out of the marriage.”
Growing sentiment in the party is that the MDC has no choice but to pull out of the shambolic power sharing deal.
