Etoile beat Monoz in champions league

Former champions Etoile du Sahel kept alive their chances of reaching the last four with a 2-0 win over Zimbabwe’s Monomotapa.

Mossaab Sassi opened the scoring after just 12 minutes and then Cape Verde’s de Gilson Silva sealed the win with a goal 11 minutes after half-time.

The defeat means that Monomotapa can no longer reach the semi-finals.

Etoile du Sahel must now beat TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi in the final group match in a week’s time if they are to reach the last four, while a draw will be enough for the DR Congo side. Source: BBC Sport
