TP Mazembe beat Monomotapa

DRC side TP Mazembe beat Monomotapa of Zimbabwe 2-0 in their African Champion League Group B away tie.

Five minutes into the game TP Mazembe captain Dioko Kaluyituka had forced two saves off the Monomotapa goalkeeper. He was to eventually find the net in the 10th minute.

Playmaker Mbutu Mabi wrapeed up the tie in injury time to make it 0-2.

The victory keeps Mazembe at the top of the group with nine points after four matches.

The group’s other game of the weekend will be played later on Saturday when Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia host Nigeria’s Heartland.
